#12: In this episode, I chat with Kelly LeVeque, the best-selling author of Body Love and more recently Body Love Everyday. Kelly is an amazing holistic nutritionist and celebrity health coach where she has positively impacted so many with her well-known Fab4 smoothies and helping us understand food and fueling our bodies without depriving it. Kelly walks us through the basics of nutrition, debunking health trends, building her business and how she grew her brand to where it is today. She fills us in on how she landed her first book deal and getting her first “celebrity” client. Spoiler alert: Kelly really knows what it is like to hustle and her story is so inspiring to listen to. Kelly also shares her journey conceiving, pregnancy cravings, her son’s birth story and the unexpected twists and turns motherhood has had her on so far (I was shaking this entire story!). We touch on our nursing journeys and what it has been like to “wean” our bubbas so far. This conversation is truly one of my favorites so far. Kelly, thank you for sharing all of your wisdom and your story with us! For more from Kelly, head on over to her website and @bewellbykelly.

#4: In this episode I sit down with my good friend and RD, Abby Cannon, to chat all about infertility and our journeys to get pregnant. We both share our stories from going off the pill (birth control) in our mid-twenties and struggling to regain our menstrual cycles post pill (which never came back!). Then we were both eventually diagnosed with “unexplained infertility”. We dive into our experiences with merging both eastern and western medicine practices to start a family by incorporating acupuncture into our routine while also relying on hormones from our Reproductive Endocrinologists. Abby and her husband also experienced the heartache of a miscarriage during this journey prior to getting pregnant, which she openly speaks about in the episode.
Our conversation is longer than most episodes, but it is incredibly open and vulnerable and something we hope comforts anyone who may be struggling to start a family of their own. We are here for you!!

#3: In this episode, I am in the "hot seat". My husband, Jordan Carpenter, interviews me and we share a bit more on how it how it all got started and why I created my blog in the first place. Contrary to what many think, I didn't have the confidence to pursue my blog full-time and leave my desk job. On December 3, 2015, I was fired unexpectedly from my job at a CPG brand as their Earned Media Manager. This led me to pursue my own brand full-time and embark on this crazy journey running my food blog and Instagram full-time. I chat about my brand partnerships and how those came about, answer a handful of your questions about the behind-the-scenes over here and I open up about the in's and out's of running my business solo.
For more from me, follow along @rachLmansfield and pre-order my cookbook, Just the Good Stuff.
Thank you, Garden of Life, for sponsoring this episode. I share all of my Garden of Life favorites here.
